DEADLINE | Dr. Alan H. Lipson Memorial Award in Medicine

Attention Med 2 and 3 Students!

This annual prize was established in memory of Alan Harvey Lipson (M.D. /81) for students in the Max Rady College of Medicine at the University of Manitoba.

Each year it is offered to an undergraduate student who has:

1. Completed the second or third year of study in the Undergraduate Medical Education Program and is in good academic standing;
2. Demonstrated participation and leadership through volunteer and extracurricular activities, in either the Max Rady College of Medicine or the community at large.
3. Preference may be given to candidates who have taken a leadership role in an administrative capacity.

Required Documentation:

• Statement describing volunteer activities and demonstrated leadership abilities (maximum 500 words)
• Minimum of one or a maximum of two letters of reference (maximum 500 words each). 

These letters of support should address leadership abilities and volunteer activities.

A student may hold only one Dr. Alan H. Lipson Memorial Award in Medicine in his or her lifetime.

Application deadline date is Tuesday, April 30, 2024, no later than 4:00 pm.
