Ice Bowl

IceBowl is a weekend-long hockey tournament in which medical students from western
Canada challenge one another in friendly competition. The University of Manitoba’s own Manitoba Meds play against medical students from UBC, UofC, UofA and UofS. Every year, the Manitoba Meds enter a men’s competitive, non-competitive and a women’s team! So whether you’ve grown up playing hockey or have skated once in grade 6, consider joining a team!
Spectators are equally important at these events! There are great themed socials on both the Friday and Saturday night. Each year a different city hosts IceBowl. In 2016 it was Calgary and the 2017 is the beautiful Vancouver. IceBowl is one of the best weekends you will have as a med student, you won’t want to miss out!
