Medicine and Politics

Dr. Elise Weiss, Chief Provincial Public Health Officer will be speaking about the intersection between politics, health policy and medicine. She will describe the professional relationship between her role and the Minister of Health as well as describe different factors that influence policy and how physicians without careers in public health may affect policy effectively.
