TL;DR; Learn basic data analysis and graph generation on R—super helpful for anyone interested in doing research!
The Medical Entrepreneurship and Innovation Interest Group (MEIIG) will be hosting its first event of the year: Fundamental R Skills for Medical Students on November 18th, 5:00-7:00pm in Theatre E.
For those who haven’t heard of R, it is a free and extremely popular programming language that is often used in both clinical and basic science research to both analyze large data sets and generate fully customizable graphs—and thus is very useful for students doing research over the summer and anyone generally interested in basic coding. This session will introduce students to the power of R and teach them how to make some of the most common graphs using model data.
