National Microbiology Laboratory and Infectious Disease Info Session

Are you interested in infectious diseases? The infectious disease interest group is hosting a virtual event for medical students to learn more about the National Microbiology Laboratory (NML) on Monday, October 31st from 1:00-2:00 PM (Zoom).

The NML is located in Winnipeg and is home to Canada’s only Level 4 bio-safety containment facility! At this event, students will learn about the NML and its role in public health, emergency response, and infection control from Joy Stadnichuk, Community Liaison Program Officer. Additionally, students will receive a presentation on emerging research in the area of antimicrobial resistance from Dr. George Golding, Head of the Antimicrobial Resistance and Hospital Infections Unit.

Come join the fight against superbugs! There will also be a $10 gift card giveaway at the event!
