The Wellness Speaker Series is pleased to host a small group on the topic of sexism in Medicine.
Most female medical students experience some form of gender-based discrimination or harassment during clerkship (which can take on many different forms, some of which are subtle, for example, differences in performance evaluation language, the availability of leadership opportunities, etc., and some of which are much more overt).
In this session we will be hearing the perspectives number of physicians on what some of their experiences might have been, but also importantly to hear their advice and perspectives on ways to respond to situations/comments that are constructive ways to address systemic sexism.
