The Addictions Education Group is a student led group that addresses the stigma surrounding addiction through education and the use of personal stories of those dealing with addiction. Physicians are confronted with addiction on a daily basis, whether it is their own personal struggle or interactions with patients. The Addictions Education Group organizes events that share the powerful stories of those with addiction, as well as necessary educational tools that will help future physicians recognize those struggling with addiction and what resources are available to provide essential care.
