The Indigenous Health Promotion Group is hosting a toy drive supporting the Niji Mahkwa school. They are accepting monetary and toy donations in person (details to be announced). The deadline for donations is December 13. The toys will be wrapped by the school and handed out by Santa to each and every child that attends the Niji Mahkwa school, 380 in total! The group was successful last year in having toys for all students from Kindergarden to Grade 8 so they’re hoping to do it again this year with YOUR help. Any extra money is used to fund the pancake breakfast they have for the children the day of. All in all, the children get a pancake breakfast, a gift from Santa, and their picture taken!
