The Indigenous Health Promotions Group, Global Health Interest Group and Student Advocacy Committee are excited to offer a chance to participate in a Sweat Lodge Ceremony! This is an experiential learning opportunity that strives to foster understanding of the importance of traditional healing ways in the overall health of some Indigenous patients.
Friday May 4th 12-1 PM : Brown Bag Lunch Teachings with Elder Margaret Lavallee. This will include teachings about the Sweat Lodge Ceremony and the role it plays in the health and healing of Indigenous people.
Sweat Lodge Ceremony – Sunday May 6th 1-4 PM at Thunderbird House, 715 Main St.
Dinner will be catered following the ceremony.
