The Canadian Conference on Medical Education 2017 will be held in Winnipeg April 29-May 2, 2017. This affords the opportunity for students who are artistically inclined to submit their submissions for the exhibit and easily attend the live exhibit, if your piece is selected. If you have any artistic talents, I would highly encourage you to respond to the call below:
CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS:
White Coat, Warm heART Exhibit
We are pleased to announce that the 8th annual “White Coat, Warm heART Exhibit” is now open to accepting art submissions. Entries will be accepted in a wide variety of categories, including oils, watercolor, photographs, pastels, etching, pen and ink, and more.
Facilitated Art Session: Back this year by popular demand, for artists whose work is accepted into the live exhibit, this session will consist of the artists individually presenting their pieces. The presentations will be 5 minutes or less. Medical artists will initially describe how they created their piece. They will then reflect on its connection to their professional (Medical) life and their training. Finally they will conclude with their reflection in general terms on Art-Making in Medicine. There will be 2-3 minutes for questions to each artist after their presentation. The entire session will be 90 minutes or less and will take place in the Millennium Suite on the second floor of the RBC Convention Centre.
Before submitting please read guidelines here.
Digital representations of all submissions must be sent via email to:
