Hi everyone, hope you’re all taking care before the OSCEs!
The Race and Ethnicity working group and the Immigrant and Refugee Health Interest group are holding a Lunch and Learn next week with Dr. Joel Nkosi!
Dr. Nkosi is an internist who has practiced in MB for over 20 years, and is the current General Internal Medicine program director.
Initially from South Africa, he grew up under the Apartheid system, and attended a segregated medical school. He moved to Canada in the early 2000s and practiced in various rural communities. As medical students, we have lots to learn from Dr.Nkosi’s experiences on how to best support patients from various backgrounds or who may be newcomers to Canada!
We will also be having lunch catered from Pita Pit
