[acc-trig title=”Do you feel that your choice of electives had any impact on your CaRMS match?”]
[acc-begin]

I think so! I did electives where I thought I might want to train (having researched the programs), and I think it gave me a better idea of where I did (and did not) want to go. I think it also helped the programs get an idea of who I was, and if I would fit in.

[acc-trig title=”What did you do with your Med 1 and Med 2 summers?”]
[acc-begin]

Summer exposures, travel, and vacation time at the cabin. Best summers. 🙂

[acc-trig title=”What was the most valuable lesson or experience you had while going through the match process?”]
[acc-begin]

Everything seems to work out for the better – from electives to interviews to match day itself, it seemed that everything worked out for the better (even if it didn’t always seem like it right away). I think this was true for most people, certainly.

[acc-trig title=”If you could go back and change anything during pre-clerkship or clerkship, what would you change?”]
[acc-begin]

Nothing. I had a great experience in med school.

[acc-trig title=”What did you do in your four years of medical school that you found to be the most helpful during the CaRMS process?”]
[acc-begin]

Extracurricular activities, and keeping up hobbies! Lots to talk about during interviews.
